When one of our members was faced with disruptive renovation works in the buildings around their flat, we demanded a rent reduction from the landlord. The landlord entered into negotiations, initially only offering a 7.5% reduction. The union kept pushing, and managed to DOUBLE their rent reduction, winning them £200 off a month while these disruptive works are completed.
